Comprehesive Course Assessments (CCAs)






The SKHS diploma system requires students to show proficiency through 3 different measures:

The CCA is the one of the four measures of proficiency that students are required to complete in order to graduatefrom SKHS.Each student must submit 8 proficient (score of 3 or better) Comprehensive Course Assessments (CCA) over 4 years.

  • The CCA is defined as the Performance Based section of the final exam for each course.
  • Students may substitute a math and/or science NECAP score of 3 or better for a CCA in math or science and a NECAP score of 3 or better in writing to replace an ELA CCA.
  • Senior year CCA’smay be used to show proficiency when necessary though it is assumed that most students will submit work from the freshman, sophomore and junior years.
  • Table 1 lists the CCA opportunities available through the 11th grade year.
