Rebels of the Month


November Rebel of the Month Winners

Faith Hutchins (12th grade):  Faith is a senior at South Kingstown High School. Her favorite classes are Math, Personal Finance, and Physics. Faith loves how SKHS “feels like family, a community.” Faith plays soccer, softball, and basketball at SK. She is a Class Officer, as well as a member of SKPP, VASSA, and National Honor Society. Her interests include sports and playing the guitar. Faith’s  future plans are to attend a school where she can get a good education and hopefully play one or all of the sports that she loves.

Megan Cairns  (11th grade):  Megan is a junior at South Kingstown High School. Her favorite classes are Chemistry and Contemporary Painting.  Megan loves “ the overall positive atmosphere of the school.” She participates in many activities at the high school, including field hockey, ice hockey, and track and field. Megan’s interests outside of school are going to the beach and spending time with her friends. Her future goals are to attend college and major in marine biology.

Peter McNally (10th grade):  Peter is a sophomore at South Kingstown High School. His favorite classes are Criminal Justice and 3D Motion Graphics. Peter’s interests include swimming, computer programming, and traveling. Peter likes “the selection of classes and the people that are here at SK.” Peter is very interested in alternative medicine and is considering earning a degree in botany in the future.

Ava Young (9th grade):  Ava is a freshman at South Kingstown High School. Ava “loves the block schedule and the helpful teachers at SK.”  Her favorite classes are Biology and Principles of Biomedical Science.  Ava will be joining our Academic Decathlon team. Her hobbies outside of school include taking dance classes and spending time with her friends. Ava’s future goals are to go to medical school and become a pediatric oncologist, general pediatrician, or surgeon.


October Rebels of the Month

Jack Donatelli (Grade 12):  Jack is a senior at South Kingstown High School. His favorite classes are History classes and Civics. He loves that SKHS “has a friendly atmosphere and no cliques.” Jack’s interests outside of school include politics and going to the beach. His future goal is to attend law school with a focus on studying politics.

Sydney Rabidoux (Grade 11):  Sydney is a junior at South KIngstown High School. Her favorite classes are Photography and AP US History. Sydney says that her favorite thing about SKHS is her friends. Sydney is a member of the field hockey team and has “ gained so many lifelong friendships with teammates under supportive loving coaches Margaret McGregor and Chris Palmieri.” Sydney is also  President/Co-founder of the Sustainability Club, President of Best Buddies, as well as a member of National Honor Society and Rebel Theater Group. Sydney plays Field Hockey and is on our SK Swim team. Her interests are baking, playing field hockey, and spending time with friends.Sydney’s future goal is to attend college with a major in business or political science and a minor in sustainability and global studies. 

Evan Convey (Grade 10):  Evan is a sophomore at South Kingstown High School. His favorite classes include Engineering Graphics, AP Computer Science, and 3D Motion Graphics. His interests outside of school are coding and taking things apart. Following high school, he plans to attend college to earn a degree in Computer Science.

Fanny Rodriguez-Espinal (Grade 9):  Fanny is a freshman at South Kingstown High School. Her favorite class is Western Civilizations. As a student who recently arrived in the US from the Dominican Republic, Fanny says that she loves that “everyone at SK understands me and that I don’t speak English too well.  They respect me and help me.” Fanny’s interests include baking and taking swimming lessons. Her plans after high school are to go to college and travel all over the world.
