Softball





CourseĀ  Objectives

o       Learn the basic skills and rules of softball and be able to participate in game play
o       Demonstrate knowledge of safety and care of equipment
o       Acquire knowledge of basic position play
o       Establish eye-hand coordination in a variety of tasks leading to the ability to track a moving ball both                      offensively and defensively





Performance Indicators

o       Demonstrate proficiency in the following skills: throwing, catching, base running, fielding, batting and pitching
o       Follow safety procedures pertaining to softball (use of helmets, no sliding, etc.)
o       Execute proper play in various positions
o       Develop an increased level of agility, coordination and kinesthetic sense
