Soccer





CourseĀ  Objectives

o       Develop an understanding of the rules and
o       positions associated with the sport of soccer.
o       Students will learn the basic skills necessary to effectively participate in a game of soccer.
o       Respect the different ability levels of individuals in the class.





Performance Indicators

o       Apply the rules of soccer by participation in game play and execution of the techniques of throw-ins, corner             kicks, goal kicks and direct & indirect kicks.
o       Demonstrate a basic proficiency in the following skills: dribbling, trapping, heading, passing, shooting,                    tackling and dodging
o       Develop a basic understanding of position play
o       Demonstrate knowledge of field markings
