CourseĀ  Objectives

o       Apply knowledge to develop a personal fitness plan
o       Define the five components of physical fitness
o       Enhance self-image through participation and personal fitness programs
o       Demonstrate proficiency in personal fitness and wellness
o       Develop short and long term goals
o       Demonstrate a proficiency in the walking technique
o       Develop strategies to stay motivated

o       Apply their knowledge of their own fitness levels to design a personal improvement plan
o       Define physical fitness and describe the components of health related fitness and skill related fitness
o       Assess personal fitness levels
o       Appreciate their benefits derived from being physically fit
o       Improve walking techniques to increase stride length, speed, efficiency, and improve balance, coordination,             body control, and posture
