Badminton





CourseĀ  Objectives

        Develop an understanding of the rules and strategies to effectively participate in a singles and doubles game           of badminton.
o       Learn the basic skills of badminton
o       Recognize the importance of safety procedures and care of equipment
o       Differentiate between the boundaries of singles and doubles play





Performance Indicators

The student will:
o       Apply the rules of badminton in a game situation
o       Demonstrate proficiency in the following skills: grip, forehand drive, backhand drive, overhead clear,                         underhand clear, smash, drop shots, long and short serves
o       Define the proper terminology pertaining to badminton
o       Develop and increased level of agility, coordination, and kinesthetic sense
