Community:
South Kingstown High School is located on the Atlantic Coast, 32 miles south of Providence, Rhode Island, in the village of Wakefield. The town covers an area of 63 square miles with a population of 28,000. The main campus of the University of Rhode Island is within five miles of South Kingstown High School.

Student Enrollment
As of September 2011, there is a total of 1063 students enrolled at SKHS in the following grades:
9th - 255,    10th - 258,     11th - 275,    12th - 275.

Faculty & Staff
The professional staff includes 102 classroom teachers.  There are 5 school counselors,  1 Proficiency Graduation Coordinator, 1 media specialist, 3 school nurses, 1.5 school psychologists, a social worker, a student assistance counselor and a school resource officer. We have 12 clerical staff and 19 para-professional aides to also support teaching and learning.

The administrative staff consists of 1 principal, 2 assistant principals, an athletic director (K-12), and department chairs in the areas of business, English, world language, mathematics, science, social studies, health/physical education, special education, unified arts, guidance and proficiency based graduation requirements (PBGR).
