Scholarships 2012
The 2012 Scholarships are now available for students and parents.
See the list below to find scholarship applications or information about the scholarship.
Click on the link to print the application or go to listed website to learn more about the scholarship.
With the college application process comes the search for financial assistance to fund the post-secondary plans of our graduating seniors. These scholarships are available to our graduating seniors who are pursuing a four-year, two-year or technical education program. Please note that some scholarships have certain qualifications for application (Grange member, child/grandchild of Veteran, etc).
Each application has a DEADLINE, and these deadlines are FIRM (much like the FAFSA deadline). Many of the applications are due Monday, April 2, 2012 to the guidance office. However, some applications have a different deadline and/or submission process and this has been noted next to each scholarship. If you are late with your application, it will not be considered by the scholarship committee.
FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS, including submitting additional essays, financial information, and obtaining parent signature, if requested. Organizations can ask for parent signature even if you are over 18. If you need to include a resume or letters of recommendation, you must make a copy for each application and add it to your application packet.Â
WHEN YOUR APPLICATION IS COMPLETE, either bring it to Mrs. McCallig in the guidance office or mail it directly to the address on the application by the deadline.  The responsibility for checking and adhering to all scholarship deadlines lies with you, the student.
Finally, please ask your parents/guardians if there is any work place or organization-membership scholarships for which you may qualify as a dependent. Additional scholarships may be offered by post-secondary schools to which you have applied. On-line scholarship search engines, such as www.FAST WEB.org or www.FINAID.org also may be helpful in the scholarship process.
We look forward to working with you and making this process run smoothly.
Quick Tips for Completing Scholarships:
- Unofficial copies for scholarships will be available after mid-year grades have been posted. It is your responsibility to make copies of your transcript and attach it to each of your applications.Â
- Please use black or blue pen when completing your application.
See below to find the scholarship application. Click on the link to print the application.
The scholarship forms require Adobe Reader software. If you do not have Adobe Reader on your computer, you can download by clicking here ---------------> |
