Pickleball





CourseĀ  Objectives

o       Develop and understanding of the rules to effectively participate in a singles and doubles game of pickleball
o       Differentiate between the boundaries of singles and doubles play
o       Develop strategies for singles and doubles play
o       Learn the basic skills of pickleball
o       Learn the double bounce rule and the non-volley zone
o       Establish hand-eye coordination in a variety of tasks leading to the ability to track a moving ball and make              contact





Performance Indicators

o       Apply the rules of pickleball in single and doubles play
o       Define proper terminology pertaining to pickleball and outline the boundaries associated with game play
o       Demonstrate proficiency in the following skills: serve, forehand, backhand, volley, smash, drop shot, clear               and drive shots
o       Demonstrate proficiency in court position in relation to the non-volley zone
o       Develop an increased level of agility, coordination and kinesthetic sense
