Welcome to SKHS Fine Arts Department
The Fine Arts Department encompasses a wide range of courses in music, theater, and
the visual arts. The department's mission is to educate students about the value of the
Fine Arts in their lives. The teachers in the Fine Arts Department provide lessons that
help students practice the necessary skills to become proficient in a chosen area of the
fine arts. The program provides students the opportunity to explore a variety of areas
within the disciplines, including jazz, drama, photography, painting, and sculpture.
Students are encouraged to create and perform and to develop the ability to see their
world from a new perspective. Through instruments, voice, computers, paint, clay, and
the stage, students are able to integrate the fine arts into their lives.
