Earth Systems Homepage
Freshman year is a rigorous and amazing year of learning. In Earth Systems A the course is divided into 2 distinct sections, introductory Physics and Earth Science. In the first part of the year, Newton's Laws of Motion are studied in depth. The course is supported by the "language of science"-math. The concepts taught are reinforced with equations, graphing and labs. In lab we use everything from modern photogates to simple equipment like stop watches, meter sticks, and spring scales, etc.
The second part of the year, Earth Science, begins with the inner layers of our planet and finishes with the study of our solar system.
