Philosophy of the Special Education Department
In accordance with the South Kingstown High School Mission Statement, Special Education services strive to assist students in their optimal development of their academic, psychosocial, psychological, transition and life skills. This is obtained through mutual goal setting collaboration including students, families, community members/agencies and faculty. These goals incorporate the academic grade span expectations, alternate grade span expectations, common core of learning, as well as the civic and social expectations adopted by South Kingstown High School.
