Scholarships 2014-2015

LOCAL, NATIONAL, AND REGIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE NOW AVAILABLE.  THE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE UPDATED REGULARLY, SO CONTINUE TO LOOK HERE FOR NEW SCHOLARSHIPS.

With the college application process comes the search for financial assistance to fund the post-secondary plans of our graduating seniors.   These scholarships are available to our graduating seniors who are pursuing a four-year, two-year or technical education program.  Please note that some scholarships have certain qualifications for application so please read the instructions carefully.

FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS, including submitting additional essays, financial information, and obtaining parent signature, if requested.¬† Organizations can ask for parent signature even if you are over 18.  If you need to include a resume or letters of recommendation, you must make a copy for each application and add it to your application packet.¬†

  • These scholarships are donated by local civic organizations, businesses, and families and will be awarded to students during the SKHS Senior Honors Night.  
  • As we go through the scholarship process, new scholarships may be added to the website.
  • You should continue to visit this website each week so that you will not miss any application/deadline information.¬†
  • Please complete your application by typing your information directly into the areas provided.  When your application is complete, bring to Mrs. McCallig in the guidance office. ¬†
  • Each application has a DEADLINE, and these deadlines are FIRM.
  • Many of the applications are due April 1, 2015 to the guidance office.¬† However, some applications have a different deadline and/or submission process and this has been noted next to each scholarship.¬†If you are late with your application, it will not be considered by the scholarship committee.
  • The responsibility for checking and adhering to all scholarship deadlines lies with you, the student.
  • Unofficial copies for scholarships will be available after mid-year grades have been posted. It is your responsibility to make copies of your transcript and attach it to each of your applications.¬†
  • There are scholarships that are by nomination only and this is noted on the description. Recipients are chosen by selection committee; there are no applications for the scholarships.

  • These scholarships are offered by national and regional businesses, companies or organizations.

  • When your application is complete, submit directly to the organization. (Please do not submit completed applications to the guidance office.)
